For those trying to improve the quality of their life, the following two lists will help you do just that. We live in a world where many people have a victim mentality and really believe that life happens to them, rather than life being something they can take control of.

With all that is going on around you these days, with COVID impacting everyone in some way, it’s easy to focus on those things that are beyond your control. I want to help you today to focus on what you CAN control.  

Regardless of what is going on around you and the difficulty of your situation, take some time to contemplate how your life would be different if you gave up these 6 things:

1. Complaining
2. Holding grudges
3. Self-doubt
4. Negative thinking
5. Blaming
6. Living in fear

The “give up” list is something that we have to choose daily.  Our natural tendency as humans is to do every one of those things we should be giving up.

When things are difficult and your facing situations that are unfair, or dealing with difficult people, it’s easy to to DO the very thing that is only going to make your life harder.

Instead of doing the things on the list above, decide that you will not allow any of those things to be a part of your life today. Rather, choose to DO those things listed below and watch how you feel better, feel more in control, and watch the quality of your life improve.

3. Show self-confidence
4. Think positive
5. Accept responsibility
6. Live with courage

Just like the “give up” list, you must make a decision to do the 6 things on the second list.
