Be thankful in all circumstances. Not FOR them…but IN them!

Today in America, we celebrate Thanksgiving.  We take a day to pause, reflect, and give thanks for all that we have been blessed with.

As I think about all the ways I’ve been blessed in my life, I am so thankful for my family, my heath, and so many other things that God has blessed me with.

However, I know there are many people today who are in difficult situations, and finding it hard to give thanks.  The financial pressures, the relationship issues, their current life circumstances are overshadowing the many reasons they have to give thanks.

This is easy to do, and I’ve been there!  I think we all have in some way.  It’s easy to complain about what’s wrong in your life, rather than giving thanks for what’s right.  If this is you today, I want to encourage you to change your perspective.

It is possible to be in the most difficult circumstances and give thanks IN those circumstances, not necessarily FOR them.

When you can do this you are demonstrating that you are bigger than what you are going through.  You are indeed stronger, more resilient, and able to put things in perspective.  Remember this, there are people all over the world who would love to have your worst day!

Give thanks today IN the middle of whatever your circumstances are.  This is a choice you can make right now.  It may not change your situation in an instant but it can change your perspective, and when you change your perspective, your situation often changes.

You are blessed!  Have a wonderful day as you give thanks IN all things.

Your friend,

Gary
