Vince Lombardi said, “Winning is not a sometime thing, it’s an all time thing.  You don’t win once in a while, you don’t do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time.  Winning is a habit.  Unfortunately, so is losing.”

The difference between the winners and the losers are the habits they develop.  Winners not only do the right things, they do things right.

The mindset of a winner focuses not on the outcome of winning, but on the process to get there.  In other words, it’s your daily habits that determine whether you win or lose.

You have the ability inside you to reach personal greatness.  You can have it in your career, in your family life, in your financial situation, in your health, and in any other area of your life.

But you won’t get there in a day.

You will however get there by daily executing the habits of a winner.  It’s all about the process not the outcome.

By focusing on the process of what it will take, you will continue to move forward even when you experience defeats and difficulty along the way.

A winning mentality is process oriented not outcome oriented.   If you only focus on the end result you may get off track along the way.  Keep the big picture in mind, but remember, it’s always the little things that make the difference.  It’s the little steps you take along the way that will eventually get you to the success you want.

It’s not what you do in a day that makes the difference, but what you do daily.

Every day answer these three questions:

  1. What is the success I am striving for in my life right now?
  2. What steps do I need to take to get there?
  3. Is what I am doing right now, at this moment, taking me closer or further away from that success.

The habit of winning is not a sometime thing, but it’s an every day thing.

Vince Lombardi knew a thing or two about winning.  His teams were rooted in fundamentals, and when fundamentals become habits, winning becomes a habit.

Developing those habits are not always easy.  If it were easy, everyone would win.  There’s a reason there are winners and losers.  Losers never want to do the things winners do.  They just want the glory, but they don’t want to go through the process.

Stay committed to the process and develop a mindset of winning!

Until next time, thanks for reading!
